Alive Leisure manages five leisure facilities in Norfolk. They wanted a single website that differentiates the individual centres but keeps everything in one place, achieved through multiple menus and ‘mini sites’.
Why Drupal was chosen
This is a content-heavy site, with large amounts of information found within each leisure centre’s mini site. An easy-to-use CMS was therefore essential for limited client workload and manageable upkeep.
Project goals, requirements, outcome
The client needed a clear site structure in order to maintain simplicity and function in a project that was potentially quite complex. From a single home page, parent menu modules lead the user to their chosen leisure centre. At this point, child menus direct the visitor to a more specific area of that site, for example class timetables, and the appearance of a colour scheme creates fluidity and distinction between the separate leisure centre mini sites. This not only assists with navigation but creates a sleek and modern feel to the browsing experience.
